Switched away from npower

After many trouble free years with npower I've switched away...
Basically I'm on the npower energy online august 2014 tariff which with the recent increase due to take effect in December makes it pretty expensive. So off I trot to the switching sites and all confirm i'd be about £135 per anum better off switching to Eon energy fixed 1 year v5.
Next step is give npower a ring to 1) see if they could match/better the Eon deal and 2) if not to advise them I was switching to Eon and to get the £30 termination fee waived as the price was increased mid contract...
Well the first call was a waste of time as the advisor was not interested in anything I had to say and kept telling me I was on a fixed tarrif and to ignore the letter telling me my personal price rise was going to be almost 13%, it was a standard letter. I tried to point out that their website even stated my tarrif was one of the ones subjected to the price rise but...
Second phone call was the same...
Third call used the call back feature and finally spoke to someone who confirmed that there were no cheaper deals and that I WAS affected by the price rise. The advisor confirmed that no £30 early exit fee would be applied.
Next step was to complete the switch online
Now as for FITs payments on the solar. Searched the npower website which in a PDF clearly stated that if I switch energy providers I must get in touch to move my FITs to the new provider. So I duly contacted the microgeneration team at npower who informed me the FITs can stay with them!?
AAAAGGGHHHH!!! I don't expect the switch to go smoothly and as for the FITs who knows....
