Cleaning a soupmaker

[Hope this is the right board]
We have a Scotts of Stow soup maker which is brilliant for a quick hot meal using up leftover/sorry veg.
BUT because of the kettle like component in base, I can't put it in the dishwasher to clean. Ides on how to clean internal base where a bit of soup always manages to stick and burn on.
At the moment I leave it full of soapy water to soak for a couple of days to loosen but would like a quicker solution

Milton tablets or liquid may loosen up the burnt soup at the bottom. Just check with the manufacturer first if it is safe to use or whether it might damage the jug.If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!0

If anything does burn on the bottom of ours I just fill with a bit of soapy water, leave for a couple of hours then use one of those sponge scourers to clean it, although I never have to really scrub it.0
