    To be honest, I spent as little time as possible in the company of kids so I could be completely wrong.. Even though a laptop is better value for money, aren't they going to be wasted on ten year olds?
    Don't they just want to play basic games and use the internet?

    whats your budget? notebook is the same as laptop there is no big difference, if you have right budget then go for laptop.
