Tuesday 5th November - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the Debt-Free Wannabe trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the Gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free...

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

  • Thanks for the early start again Ziggy!!

Hope everyone is well and having a great start to the day!! Today's plan:

:) Early morning run as forecast is horrendous today! - done!

    :) Quick shower - done!

:) Check online banking - done!

    :) Book MOT for car

:) Adpoints for half an hour - in progress!

:) Meals from stores - porridge, parsnip soup and tea up at rugby club

:) Friends coming round for coffee to save on coffee shop bill - and getting soaked!!!

:) Food shop as per meal plan!

:) Start on mountain of ironing from holiday!!

:) Heating can stay off today - at least until after training!

:) Rugby training tonight and "trainer's supper" at the club - free dinner with any drink - winner!

:) Finalise shopping for the dreaded "C" word - very organised this year and on a minimal budget as I won't actually be here for Christmas, it's just very close family.

Think that's about it for today - hoping to have a relatively chilled one as will be off to Wales tomorrow to see the grandparents and back to work on Thursday! Argh!!

Morning all and what a rainy day here in Hampshire.
I was up before 7am this morning. Down stairs and grabbed the puppy from her slumber. Outside.... no puddles in the night. She is doing well for 4 months.

First day of Bzz Nescafe trial today. They have sent a generous box of diffrent coffee's for me to trial.
On the web page and have Buzzed.

November the 5th and bonfire night. Will be looking out of the widow for coloured rockets in the velvet sky tonight.

Tesco shopping has just arrived - home delivery
Just looking at the list and what costs the most :0( for the week

    semi skimmed milk 2.27 ltr x3 = £3
    x5 Hovis loafs = £5
    500g cheder = £3
    Nescafe 300g = £4
    3 x Quality street tubs @ £4 each (Christmas)
    orange squash 1.5L 2 for £2.50
    Tesco toilet rolls 18 pck = £6
