E.ON standing charge query
Hi,
I'm just shopping around to see if I can find a better deal and been looking at my bill breakdown. I'm on the E.ON Energy Plan with a 6% Direct Debit discount, plus a 2% Dual Fuel discount.
Under my "Product details and units" breakdown, it says the following:
Standing charge for gas and electricity is: 27.395p per day.
Normal kWh for gas is: 4.334p
Normal kWh for electricty is: 13.503p
But on my bill:
The standing charge is: 26.09p per day
kWh for gas is: 4.128p
kWh for electricity: 12.86p
(Doesn't add up to an 8% discount)
Looking at my bill, they then apply the 8% discount to the lower rates stated above and then add on the 5% VAT.
Obviously I'm happy I'm paying the lower rate, and then getting the discount on top. I'm just wondering how the heck they came to the 26.09p / 4.128p and 12.86p prices?
Thank you in advance.

Just worked it out, it's the price minus VAT. D'uh.0
