My son keeps telling me all he wants to eat is fish and chips when I do the cleaning. The smell does go off after a while and we have just got used to it. When having a purge before visitors come, I use lemon juice as well.0

It does evaporate after a while - and believe me I have a very sensitive nose. But, for any smell that lingers, it is swell worth it for the fab results - my windows have never looked so clean, or streak free.

The though of a 'chip shop house' doesn't tickle me ... I can image it would tempt me to go to the chippie too often as well!!
Hmm, It's about a half pint of water, half pint of vinegar, 200ml of lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons of baking soda if I remember correctly. It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.0 -
To get rid of and absorb bad smells strike and then blow out some matches - I think it is the sulphur that absorbs the odour. I always do this when I've cooked cauliflower as that smell seems to get everywhere. The smell of the matches quickly goes.0
