Tranferring image from my Imac to my Samsung TV

Im looking to tranfer the image seen on my Imac screen to my Samsung plasma without running cable. Is this possible ?

Possibly the only way may be via Apple TV but I cant be 100% on that. Let us know if you do find a way as I would be interested to do a similar thing with my MacBookUseful is beautiful0

There are some other devices that work with airplay for sharing music, videos and photos but not sharing the full screen.
It is now built in to some smart blu-ray players although cost wise it would be around the same if not more as Apple TV which allows full mirroring.0 -
Apple TV is the solution. I have it on my main TV, my Mac is in a separate room so it's great for streaming media from my iTunes and iPhoto library to the main tv. Can also be used to stream youtube and other media from iphones and ipads too0

Hold on, we don't know what iMac it is, and they certainly don't all support AirPlay. It needs a pretty good graphics card/chip.
What does it say in 'About This Mac'? (Click the apple at the top left to find it).0
