Self Storage Problems

Hi All

Can anyone help me please.

I store a small trailer in a self storage site.

At first things were well and the storage was in my own name.

Well the main use of the trailer is for business and so it made sense to change this over the business name - mainly so it matches on the tax return.

Anyway when we changed it over they opened a new account. When we paid the bill, they locked us out as the other account was credited. We therefore missed some major business activity because of this.

Next the surface of the storage is so bad that it damaged my trailer, and when I mean bad, I mean holes more than 40cm deep. Anyway they keep saying it will be repaired and credited me with one months rent for the storage - this has been 6 months, still no change.

They decided the best way for me to pay was to keep my business credit card details on file and take payments themselves, fine and they have done this for the last 3 months.

Today I tried to gain access and they refused me - well the security box thingy did anyway. 40 minutes later we get access. Turns out they haven't take payment.

Strange thing is early last week they sent me an invoice and I responded right back and asked them when they would take payment, no reply.

I just feel really disgruntled about all of this, really annoying this is that I cannot find alternative storage.

Does anyone have any ideas what I should do? Is this normal and am I just being a moaner? Do I have any rights or do I just take it or leave it?

This is a business to business arrangement.
You have no consumer rights.

Study your contract and terminate it at your earliest opportunity.

Take your business elsewhere.
