Car is a write off, advice needed please

            She does not have to make a claim off her own insurer.
 (She has reported the incident to them, and if she wishes to avoid the hassle of claiming on her own policy and goes direct to the third party insurer and they won't play ball, or liability is disputed, then she can still then open a claim with her insurer)0

 She should have a hire agreement of some sort. Was the car properly checked over when she got it? Does she know how it is insured and how much her excess is if it gets damaged etc?
 Also the loan period seems open ended, dependent on the settlement cheque arriving. Is this documented for her?0

            start searching for similar cars to hers forsale. (preferable sold ones) and provided them as evidence to support the value of the car.
