Upgrade Tom Tom One Version 2

Hi

My OH has a Tom Tom One and it is a UK only version. Does anyone know the best (ie cheapest!) way to upgrade it so we can use it in France this summer please.:D

have a look on the ebay you might find some maps there or if you have some friend with a original map pop the sd card into yours then find the maps on the internet so you can copy so this way you would have for free.but im note sure this is legal.
