Damage & Collision Insurance included?

Hi, Could anyone tell me if damage and collision insurance is included as standard on UK issued credit cards when used to pay for car hire overseas (particularly: Canada)?

The American Express Platinum Charge card includes car rental insurance, thats all I can think of off the top of my head.

Not usually.
If anyone does it then it's probably American Express.

Buying the policy is easy. Never had to claim so can't tell you about that side of it.

(But please tell if you can identify a freebie on a card!)

It's standard on us cards and often quoted but not UK ones.
