How much are bailiff costs to evict a tenant?
Does it depend on which bailiff company is used?
Where do I start with this? What forms do I need to fill in and how do I find a bailiff?
Background:
- Section 21 served
- Court notice issued
- No defence made by tenant
- Court has given a date of 7th November for them to be out
- The tenant has told me that they need an eviction order saying that are to be evicted by a bailiff - they will then get emergency housing from the council
Question: Where can I find the cheapest bailiff? The tenant won't fuss over going - they just need documents to show the council - so, I have no need to employ someone who will do the best job
Question: Am I allowed to pursue the bailiff costs from the tenant?
The deposit was returned as I hadn't put into a safe deposit scheme - I did this after getting advice on these forums (much helpful). So, I can't deduct from that (if it was possible to do so that is)
Thanks
JJ

i believe if they've not gone by 7 November, you go back for a warrant for eviction and the court baliff is used. i believe fee is in region of £110 and you can ask for this cost to be passed on to tenant0
