What are my rights? Damaged parcel....

Hello
Just asking in case anything goes wrong.

Purchased expensive (for me) camera from Amazon. Was supposed to be delivered today with a signature taken.

Nobody has rung our doorbell this morning (dog always barks for doorbell). Opened the door to go out at 9am and parcel is lying on the doorstep and is damaged. Outer box broken and crushed. Inner (camera) box not broken but has very small depression. Inner packaging of camera box appears undamaged.

What are my rights (if any) if this camera has been damaged due to shock and doesn't become apparent for a while?

I've emailed Amazon and told them (although couldn't find a way to attach a photo of the damage). I also went to Yodel's site and couldn't find any way of emailing them, although there was a "chat" facility it said there were no agents available.

Don't want to send it back if it's OK, but how will we know? (can't test it yet as battery takes hours to charge).

Hopefully camera is OK, but I'm just wondering if the shock could have caused internal damage? Also full of condensation from being out in the cold, but I suppose that's normal.

Don't contact Yodel. Even though they delivered the parcel you should only deal with Amazon.

It will probably be alright as parcels are heavily drop tested so even though the box is damaged the contents should be fine.

However for ease of mind you could ask for a replacement off Amazon if you wish.
