Psychedelic veggie kit

I have received an email from a gift site, advertising a psychedelic veggie kit. It contains Peat starter pots, peat discs, plant markers, and seeds for veg (Purple Carrot, Stripy Tomatoes, Brightlights Swiss Chard, Yellow Courgettes, Red Brussels Sprouts). For the price they are asking, I know I could bundle the lot together myself at less cost, and get more. What's the best site to look for unusual varieties of veg seeds, and probably the peat pots and discs?

You can also try orange or purple cauliflowers, yellow or purple beans and peas, white, pink, yellow, green or purple tomatoes and red white or green aubergines?

Borlotti beans are nice (white & purple)
Chocolate tomatoes look good, but the skin is tough.

...and if you want to go for a tree, how about a Redlove apple - looks like a red apple on the outside, cut in to it and it's red on the inside as well.

Thanks both for the tips. I will search for them, see where I can get them online. As well as the peat pots, etc. Thanks again.

Coloured vegetable seeds are available in all the seed catalogues. Its just a case of seeing where you can source the ones you want at the cheapest price. Don't for get some offer free postage. For pots try Dobies Windowsill Propergator Kits £2.00 for 3 and that includes 3 x 12 peat pellet pots.
  • the other thing I got from my local garden centre was various different colours of beetroot. chilterns seeds is pretty good.
