Does anyone know what I can do with pears? For some reason my husband bought pears when they were on BOGOF - he only eats one and then the rest go off! I've around 11 left! Determined not to let that happen again :).

Poach them in a red wine and honey liquid - gorgeous!

    good afternoon everyone :0)

CH on now early morning and evening. No heating during the day.

Checked plugs out and lights off this morning when family go out. = saves on electric.

craft = using sewing machine. Made a lilic draw string bag with pockets on the front. Deep purple ribbon pull string.
Money saving = cut up an old sheet and had scraps for pockets. No new cost.

Looked in fridge/freezer and made a menu for next week. Then did online shopping for the rest. Tesco do my shopping, packing and deliver it to my door for 93p. I have the 6 month delivery deal with them.
Spent £70 including x3 tins of Quality Street @ £4 each for my Christmas stash/gifts.

Washing dried on the line today.

Cooking roast Gammon for dinner, should last 2 days. Roast veg, etc...

    Happy saving evryone.
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)
  • Evening all!

Pretty proud of my new lifestyle and some of my list is now routine :D

    So far:
    Checked bank
    Charged phone at work
Booked day off for London trip (33 days away)
Set up saving jar for London (£2 a day will be almost £70 of guilt free spends)
Booked train tickets with 90% advance discount
B/l/d from stores and meal plan
About to go grocery shopping (yellow stickers aplenty)
Absolutely definitely without a doubt having my pampering bath tonight!

Hope you're all having a good day

    Evening campers

Thanks to ziggy for starting us off :)

Slightly late post from me as didn't get a chance earlier today. OH has been texting me more often so I'm more settled about him.

In other good news, after paying off the slight arrears and making a conscious effort to use less water, the bill has gone down from £38 a month to £27 a month :money: This is only about £4 a month more than when I lived in my flat so I think that's pretty good.

    Good dfw things
    • B/L/D from stores
    • Worked 1 hour overtime
    • Reconciled spreadsheet with weekend spends
    • Heating only on for 1 hour tonight (8-9)
    • Free cake in work
    • Continue to crochet m-i-l's shawl
    • Treat of hot choc from stores instead of evil booze
    • Free Milicano arrived
    Not-so-good things

    • Spent £1 on choc in work (one bar for me, one for my friend). This was before the cake arrived.
Might add some more if it comes to me!

    Have a good evening :)

ps: does anyone else have trouble with mse constantly logging them in/out when posting/editing?
