Why does gas take longer to swap?
As the title says really, I'm in the middle of switching and my electric is due to complete tomorrow but my gas another 8 days later....WHY? That's another 8 days of more expensive gas and I can't see a reason for it. In fact, everytime I've switched its always been the same....again...WHY?
2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)

If you are switching to EDF, it always seems to be that way. They never seem to be able to do a simultaneous switch for dual fuel.No free lunch, and no free laptop

I was talking to a mate I haven't seen in years in the pub at the weekend who told me he joined EDF over 2 years ago on a dual fuel fix and STILL hasn't been charged for gas, even though he's phoned them several times and even given them meter readings over the phone. He's been putting the money he thinks he may owe aside so I told him about the back billing rule and the possibility he may get some free gas. He's promised me there's a few drinks in it if successful

My recent switch from BG to npower was electric on the Tuesday and gas on the Thursday. The letter advising me of the electricity switch arrived a week before the switch and the gas a fortnight after. must have got lost in the post
