I don't think they'll be as harsh as people here are making out.
Don't phone the number to inform them you've got a job till the day you start or later. Carry on applying for jobs just as you were before but tell them you've found work if they contact you.0 -
don't sign off until you start - you can call, as long as you DO tell them...
I signed off when I was offered a job all excited - and then the Friday before I was due to start the offer was revoked (it had been a secondment cover but the guy had gone to be a yellow peril, and decided it wasn't for him). Having to sign back on was a real ball ache to say the least...

i start in 3 weeks. i miss Novembers payroll but they are happy to do a one off transfer for me. the offer wont be revoked as its back where i used to work but with a different service provider. i was in the right place at the right time. know the work, the people etc and they came to me rather than the other way around.
i am starting on a monday so am i better off going into job centre on the friday before or call them on the day i start? my sign on day is next monday and then again the day i start the job....
