Got a newsletter through the door for Belmont & Ballyhackamore residents. There is a "Christmas Joy" lantern festival taking place on Saturday 7th December where will be all day entertainment on both Belmont Road & Upper Newtownards Road.

The lantern parade itself starts at 5:15pm after the switch on of the lights in Ballyhackamore at 5pm and culminates in a firework display in the grounds of Strandtown Primary school (admittance is only for parade participants). Santa, his sleigh and the puppets will be available for a short time afterwards for those wishing to get photos.
