Plastering over water pipes and shower mixer valve

I have just had a new mixer shower installed into the wall and the pipes and shower valve need covering - do I need to get the pipes covered first in something like lagging before plastering over / also can I plaster on to the shower valve body itself or should that also be covered in something first
Should I leave the shower valve unplastered and just cover with a tile instead by gluing to the plaster on either side - I guess this will make it easy to access should it need servicing rather than having to break the plaster around it - any advice would be welcome

you aren't allowed to plaster in water pipes they need to be accessible, just tile over the chases & around the valveI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
The one we just took out was plastered in - so we were going to do the same / if I plaster as close to the pipes and valve as possible and then tile over the valve so in effect there is some empty space behind the tiles where the valve and pipes are is this ok?
With the tile grout and tiles I expect it wouldn't allow water through and should be secure ?
Can I not use pipe insulation and then plaster over the pipes ?0 -
the inlets to the shower valve will have filters in them so need to be accessible,
putting lagging over the pipes will prevent corrosion & possible leaks from the expansion of the pipes, however the water regs state potable water pipes must be accessible, pipes covered by tiles are, pipes plastered over aren'tI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

please see link above to my shower- what i am planning is to put lagging on the copper pipes and then plaster over them and leave the shower valve open- the tiles will be large enough to spread from one side of the shower valve to the other and the shower valve will be then accessible
does this sound like the right way to do this? or should all the copper pipes also be accessible in which case does a wooden or metal casing need to be put around the pipes on to which the tiles are then glued?0 -
Just bumping this message to see if anyone can help0
