Christmas Ideas - what to buy men for Christmas!

Useful suggestions but I am also struggling for boys. The problem I have is I don't know them very well and budget is small. At this stage if I don't get creative soon then they'll be getting smelly/shaving pack. I normally try and buy things I'd like - bars of chocolates, biscuits, etc but then I realise I'm a girl and nice note paper and toiletry bags probably won't cut it! I'm also dead against giving money/vouchers (just a personal thing).0

Mrs Christmas - how about vouchers for a meal out at his favourite restaurant; a body massage; you cooking him his favourite meal at home; something connected with his hobby/hobbies.

I picked my ds up a couple of weird science boxes from The Works. One was exploding booms science set and a create a zombie one. (I know I must be mad eh?)
They also had glow gunge/slime ones and inside an alien one. Not used yet obviously so cant vouch for how good they are but were a ok I thought at 2 for £10?
Adult wise - tickets to theatre to see a favourite comedien or show. Cineworld/odeon voucher.
sorry not much use there, my OH very good at what he wants:hello:0 -
I think men are really hard to buy for as well despite having 3 older brothers!
If they have partners/wives etc then often a joint present can be quite good - pay for them to have a meal out or a cooking set or even a babysitting voucher if they have kids!
I'm making my dad and boyfriend some homemade fudge this year - using particular ingredients I know they especially like. Plus my dad is also going to get homemade peanut brittle and dark chocolate covered brazil nuts and I'm going to buy a glas jar from Ikea for less than £2 to put a selection in.
Also - sticking to the chocolate theme, those expensive large slab chocolates you can get in Hotel Chocolat, amongst other places, are really easy to make yourself. Just melt the type of chocolate they like and pour it out onto greaseproof paper on a baking tray and add whatever ingredients you like - I've added marzipan, marshmallows, dried fruit, nuts etc in the past - and you can even add a little white chocolate to it to create a nice marbled effect
As you can see, these gifts are mostly food based!:rotfl:0 -
My dad is the most impossible man to buy for...ever!
He has a range of health problems including diabetes and a tremor and ataxia syndrome. This means anything outside related is a no go, he can't get out and about much. Diabetes high cholesterol means he is very limited in what foods he can eat so hampers are pretty limited and have been done to death. He hardly eats anything anyway so food items never were that well received. He has very few interests, well, he loves golf and bowling but he can do neither anymore. I usually get him a book or a jumper, but he has hundreds of unread books and a wardrobe full of unworn clothes.
He likes a drink, probably a bit too much, which means anything alcoholic is unsuitable (my step mum would kill me).
I've thought of charity type things but he's a miserable old goat
I don't know, I give up! I think Christmas should be about women and kids only.:A

My Dad actually asked for Boxer shorts this year. He moaned about getting loads of them a few years ago and hasn't had any bought for him since. :rotfl:0

If your dad loves golf and bowling what about clubbing together with siblings/mum and buy your dad a wii or games console? you can get both of those games and he doesnt have to move very far to play them? Or what about a mp3 so he can listen to music or a magazine subscription, dvds?
