Christmas Ideas - what to buy men for Christmas!

Options
I find it really hard buying for the men in my family - dads/uncles/brothers etc... They seem to "need" nothing and I don't want to give for the sake of giving. Anybody have some fresh, exciting ideas? thank you! :santa2:

  • Not exactly new or exciting ideas, but for men in my life I have bought:
    • a subscription to a magazine of their interest i.e. fishing or Mdel railways etc
    • Music or book (i whatever format they use)
    • tickets to gig of a favourite performer/band
    • if a partner....a sexy home "date night" meal...special effort for "private time " IFYKWIM!
    • also if a partner....a body massage!
    • again...if a partner....yourself.....with strategically-placed gift ribbon pompoms and nothing else lol!!
    • an "experience" bungee jump/hot air balloon, race car drive...if money is not tight
    • if partner...a pot of choc body paint
    • box of fave chocs/huge bar....not only a feminine pleasure you know...
Oh blimey......I spoil my partner, lol!!;);)

I did start a board on pintrest but well i only have one thing on it so far so will stalk this with interest.

The only item is this http://www.pinterest.com/pin/230035493440605731/ wooden dock stand whatsit.

I have made a personalised word thing online in previous years. Cannot remember what it was called. You choose words about person and it scatters them about in random patterns and colours it makes a nice cheap item to put in a photo frame.

Buy headphones from argos and purchase the 3 year protection - it covers everything from breakdown to accidental damage. So even if he cuts it with scissors, its covered. That way he can go back to argos and get another pair FREE!!

  • Good afternoon, apologies if this has been asked before or if I'm not posting in the right place but I was just sat here knitting a scarf & watching a Christmas movie & it got me thinking about what to get Mr Christmas :xmassmile
He normally ends up with the token socks, ties & smellies but I want him to feel special this year & would like him to see that I've really thought about his present & & show him how much he means to me. ~all together now 'awwwwww'~ :snow_laug
So I'm going to make a voucher book. I was thinking 12 vouchers, 1 for every month & have thought of 2 ideas already, a meal out at his favourite restaurant & a whole weekend off of driving to & attending the children's sports ... basically the weekend off.. I know he will really appreciate this.

If any of you lovely people could think of any further suggestions, ways of making the vouchers or point me in the direction of threads already about this, I'd be very grateful.

Wrap up by the fire & enjoy your evenings :rudolf:
