if you have anything in writing on how the scheme works it may form part of the contract
make sure you have a copy of that and the accrued hours before they disappear0 -
hi getmore4less
there is no mention of banked hours at all in my contract I have a copy of all the hours I have accrued!
do you think they are allowed to not pay the banked hours?0 -
I know we don't get paid for banked hours ever but what we can do is "swap" holidays we have already taken for banked hours as we get paid for untaken holidays if we were to leave.0

hi can employers make you work the banked hours scheme and then not pay them surely that's not legal?0
-
Well, it is in our contracts that we have to take the days off, we never get paid and the banked hours are lost at the year end so we have to use them or loose them.0
-
we are not allowed to take them off at our leisure its for the company to decide if work is low to give us the time off!
I am so confused its getting me down0 -
is the scheme in writing?
a contact of employment can include stuff in handbooks emails etc. It can also include verbal but difficult to prove.0
