Some rope or heavy duty string, nails and a hammer. This is to secure your xmas tree to the wall.
LOL. Actually it will be in front of a radiator and I have already worked out that it will be possible to tie it to both ends of that.

Well she was out exploring within 2 mins of the 3 sets of size 11s leaving for football, has done several circuits of the room and come very close to me. I actually think she is puzzled because I don't try to touch her at all. Currently she is asleep in DS1's armchair having washed herself.
  • Congratulations on your new ball of fur.

Our little Gizmo had a bad start to life too and after nearly a year with us he is still skitty with new people and loud noises but he is the most adorable thing. He's a complete little so and so but I could never imagine our house without him. At times he has been hard work but he is so worth it.
  • Aww, what colour is she, and how old? I love her name!

She is a Brindle/Tortie and 7 months old.

Things are going much better than we dared to expect. By the time the chaps came home she had been on my lap and taken a selfie or 2 on my laptop - which was damn clever of her because I didn't know how the camera worked (I had turned it on so that I could see what she was doing on the back of my armchair). By talking to her gently I managed to convince her that my men were not dangerous and she didn't bolt for the back of the sofa. They all 3 sat down and ignored her and she investigated them by herself and has sat on everyone's lap. She does tend to jump if anyone gets up, but she just heads for the other side of the room. Once she seemed happy with them being here I fed her and a pouch of some flavour of fish disappeared very quickly.

How long do cats go between toilet trips? I would be a bit more confident about overnight if I knew that she had used the litter box.

    Ah........tortie!!!

They are nuts but fab, massive characters. She will come to you (if you are lucky....lol) when she's ready. as long as she's using the loo she's fine, may prefer to use it when you lot aren't watching her and asleep.

Brace yourself for some fun as torties rock.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.
