Cheap Energy Club - Npower switch
Hi all
I may have got carried away with all the fun-fare surrounding the CEC or I may have been unlucky that I just chose to switch to Npower (reading some of the horror stories that go around).
The thing is that I started the switching process four weeks ago. Since then I have had no communications from Npower at all. I know they know about my will to switch to them because 10 days ago I sent an email complaining to Npower (forumresponse@npower.com) and they seem to have some sort of a reference number for my application. Two further emails asking politely for a time frame as to when they see fit start my switch have gone answered. I also got an email from the CEC this week, saying that “Don't worry, your switch to Npower is in progress and it should be in contact soon”. Oh, well, I might hear from them by the end of the year if I am lucky!
I feel like I should go to a cashback site and ditch both, the CEC and Npower; but deals are now more expensive than when I decided to switch a month ago which somehow is putting me off from doing that. So, maybe somebody has been in the same boat before and has some indication of any time frames? Am I likely to be with the new supplier in the next 4-5 weeks or it is just wishful thinking? At the end of the day, I just want to save some money.
Thanks

Hi finder
Thanks for your post.
I am sorry to hear there has been a delay in your switch to us. Normally the process should take 4-6 weeks before complete. If you would like me to take a look and see where your transfer stands please feel free to send an email to our email address shown on our profile page.
Kind regards

Dear David
5.5 weeks since my switch using the CEC and Npower hasn't even bothered sending a lonely letter. Oh dear! I took the liberty to send you an email over the weekend as suggested in your post. But I don't want to get my hopes up; I am now dreading Npower will take the standard 4-6 weeks to answer a simple email query. Actually I should probably count myself lucky if I even get somebody in Npwer to bother sending me a standard excuse!
Kind regards0
