  • That's 1/10 out of the way for me.. leftover pasta from the weekend. I'm definitely going to have to get a bit more creative though. as there's usually a queue for the microwave so I'm stuck with foods that don't really need any prep at work. :)

I have that problem too - there is one particular person who will insist on cooking a jacket pot from raw which monopolises the microwave for at least ten minutes - drives me mental, that's a massive chunk out of my lunchbreak . Everyone else cooks them the night before and then reheats.

You could maybe try a foodflask for soups etc?

Hi Sedge, welcome to our thread :) I'll put you down on the list :)

Don't forget to check out the list of ideas on the 1st post :)
I like to take cous cous with me if i have access to a kettle. I just put some cous cous into a sealable bowl, add whatever i want (nuts, spices, prawns is my fave) and then when ready to eat it yoyu just pour some boiled water over it, stir, cover and leave for 5 mins. Hey presto, a hot lunch :)

Unfortunately i have to eat my lunch in my car, inbetween clients houses or on the way home etc, so it's always cold food for me.
  • Hi everyone,

2/20 for me so far. I had quorn filet sandwiches today along with 2 quorn balls, 3 savory biscuits, a packet of crisps, half a cereal bar, a satsuma, 8 fruit salad sweets and two malteasers :rotfl::rotfl:. My only defense for eating like a piglet is that it is absolutely freezing in our office. We sir on hat, scarves and gloves although now we have duck taped the holes in the walls ( yep really) it is fractionally better. Haven't bought anything extra though... All bits from home and from my stash of goodies in my office draw.

Juno I know what you mean about coffee people are always coming in with it but we midst all be coffee monsters because almost everyone will go out for one anyway. It sounds like your first day went really well even though it was a very long one.

Were have a microwave at work but I really like sandwiches (and I am a bit phobic about dirty microwaves!). I have considered making a toasted sandwich and reheating it in the microwave though... But I am not keen:). I will just stick to drinking plenty of coffee :T

Want to be SE it must be cold eating in your car. Have you thought of taking a flak of soup or something?

Right need to think what to have on my sarnies tomorrow. No inspiration atm!

    Will check in again soon
    Xxxx

2/10 for me today although I nearly caved in as not feeling very well and the thought of popping to the shops was tempting.... but I resisted!

Yay!!! Well done and especially as you aren't feeling well... if you can manage on days like this then you have it covered!!!

I had cheese, beetroot relish and lettuce sandwiches today, two quorn balls and two hm cheese straws. Bit better than yesterday but someone lent us a portable heater foot the day so wet weren't freezing for a change.

Still thinking about tomorrow... Possibly tuna but not sure  I have my snacks ready to go though.:rotfl:
