    thanks.

what stores sell prams? ive looked in mothercare so far and we have a toys r us near here but i cant think of anywhere else that sells rams apart from argos and they wont let you play around with it before a purchase.

i saw the phil and teds on ebay for about £289 with all the extras as opposed to £329 in mothercare plus £60 for the extra seat etc.

i looked at the jane powertwin the other day, i stopped a lady who was pushing one and asked if i could have a look. strange request lol. it looked ok but obviously i didnt play with the harness given her kids were in it but it looks a bit large for public transport.

she will only be just turned 2 when baby arrives and i dont think its fair for a 2 year old to walk everywhere. plus if i did do that then id have to wait until she had had her nap before venturing out and given at this age they nap when they feel like it there would be no guarantee that id ever leave the house again (slight exaggeration)

I had my second child when the first was only 2 and 3 months. I do a lot of walking, maybe 4 miles every day and she walked most of that time and used a buggy board. Having 2 children when the oldest is that size in a double pushchair is going to be really heavy work.

Anty don't get the phil and ted thing, if its the one where a child sits under the pram. I know someone who has one of these and her daughter nearly lost a finger in it because of how close they are to the wheels, she is now terrified of the thing and wont go near it. Plus The one in the back must be so bored staring at the back of a seat all day.

I think you should try emailing Mclaren and seeing about exchanging the harnesses, if you point out the disability I think they might really try to help. Either that or I think the attachment thing is a good idea becuase then if Mr. Mob wants to take chops out, he can just take the one buggy.

My son is older than chops and I still wouldn't have him walk everywhere.

Would this be another option? It turns two single buggies into a double - which would make it cheaper to start with, would mean you get to keep the buggy you know you can manage, and you can go back to singles if you needed to. Don't know how it would affect collapse though, but people like Kiddicare and JoJo Maman Bebe sell it also, so someone may be able to advise.

    :)

Do not get these for any Maclaren buggies - they won't work. These only work on buggies that have all round tubes.Maclarens have the square tubing at the back, and it won't fit.The only buggies these work on are the really cheap basic models, as shown in the picture.I know as I have tried
  • Only got the one kid, so no practical experience of doubles. Are you anywhere near John Lewis? As the staff tend to be pretty nice if you need to try things out. Graco harnesses are a pain in the butt, so avoid Graco.

Could you try something like this:

The back seat goes down flat so it's suitable for a newborn and you don't need to do the harness up on either the front or back seat.

    Hi, congratuations on your pregnancy.

Im probably not going to be much help at all, but I wondered if the was a separate harness you could buy to use with the buggy instead of the standard fit one?

    Good luck
