Thanks, Yolina! Your advice was much appreciated.
At least I know I will SAVE! :money:on using up the ground coffee I was previously using (for my old cafetiere) ! :TAPennySaved
Money, money, money . . . !

The basis for every variety of coffee drink is a shot of espresso, so it is important to get it right.
Oh, really? So coffee made in a cafetiere, filter drip cone, clever dripper, moka pot, filter machine, aeropress, percolator, coffee pot, etc. etc. are all based on a shot of Espresso? Well, thanks for saying so, I never knew that.
Really peeps, don't take notice of the Espresso snobs. They'll have you spending a thousand quid before you even turn the page.
Lastly, the best coffee and the best way to make it is how you like it not how someone else likes it!0 -
I picked up a bialetti moka express from SD Bells in Belfast and had some lovely blends of beans freshly ground while I waited. They were very helpful, this will allow me to make great quality espresso until I do a bit more research.
I'm really impressed with the quality of the coffee and the moka express takes very little time to make when on the gas ring.0 -
Just noticed that SD Bells have a website now, I called in yesterday and their service was first class http://www.sdbellsteacoffee.com/ for any of our coffee lovers in Northern Ireland0

Check the review section in Which? magazine. The best Expresso machine (expresso is milder on your stomach) is the DeLonghi E250. Please note that most Expresso machines leave minor amounts of lead into the water (within legal limits, of course) That is the reason why I simply use a thermal Bodum.0

I have a Krupps dual machine, its fine. The 'espresso' isn't perfect but its perfectly decent mug of strong coffee to wake me up in the morningThe best portion of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you.0

I had a Dolce Gusto, and I found it rather bland and uninteresting.
Nespresso is really a lot better.0
