Can you get an interest free card and balance transfer?
Pay the minimum on other debts and throw everything at the barclaycard?
List out your debts and their interest rates for more advice.0 -
im gunna start doing the pay more off the barclaycard but ive tried for other cards and i cant get one0

Pull your budget apart and cut your spending to zero for a period of time. Best to try every avenue you can before ruining your credit profile.0

The above is the best advice.
Many of us who have had debt, have looked at our finances and realised that cuts can be made.
It's a matter of looking at everything from the obvious, such as nights out, going to football matches, high mobile phone contracts, Satellite TV to buying lunch out, or even just a couple of bottles of fizzy drink a day. It really is a case of every little helps.
When it comes to a credit card, even paying £10 more than the minimum, can cut down the time it will take to clear it.
It does depend how serious you are at clearing it, if you're serious enough, you'll cut up the card, cut all unnecessary spending to a minimum and live on the cheapest food, put on a jumper, rather than the central heating etc...
If you believe, you are already doing all of that, then you're only choice is to increase income, such as selling items and taking on a second job if necessary.
Failing that, you have no choice, but to end up defaulting on the card and end up with a trashed credit record and months of letters/phone calls chasing the debt.0 -

what are the debts?
what are the APRs
best to pay as much as possible to the card with the highest APR (and not the one with the highest debt)
have you looked in detail at what you spend?
go over to the debt free wannabe board and post up full details of your spending, debts and income (SOA) and see how they can help you manage your money more effectively.0 -
OP If you contact Barclaycard for help they are likely to freeze access to any new borrowing if they are to help at all with the interest rate.
If you are ok with this then phone them and see if they can help.
I think the best advice here is to go to the debt free wanabe board.0
