My son is taking voluntary redundancy in a few weeks. He is divorced and currently lives with my wife and I. My wife gets DLA and I work. My son pays £70 a week board. He will get PILON as part of his redundancy package. Can he claim JSA and also housing benefit to pay his board ???

he can JSA of £71, no housing benefit, he will need to pay his board from his JSA/redundancy package0

Im sure, as his mum and dad, you could reduce his board substantially while he stays with you till he find a job.
Just charge him what extra food you buy and a little bit more for extra utilities. It cant cost anywhere near £80
Hope he finds something soom.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
