    diesels take ages to warm up even longer in winter so no heat untill it warmed up

    Most fuel economic way is to not have the heater on at all until the engine is up to temperature. I also prefer it, I'd rather have a couple of minutes of no heat followed by some serious warmth, than twice the time of lukewarm.
    Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%
