What an unhelpful pile of rubbish that is.

Crabman, if you see this, is there any way we can be allowed to help re-write that awful template please? No-one should be finding that letter and thinking that's how to appeal! I sent a pm a month ago to MSEAndrea (I think) and heard nothing (I was offering to tweak the advice guide & templates so they could actually help people!).

Thanks for the comments. Helpful as I would have missed a lot of this in our appeal letter.

Our point exactly about that template!

Have you seen this thread which has been updated with complaints every day since June?!

I have just been sent another letter asking for payment, as the period for the reduced charge is almost over.

I have already written to them disputing the claim with evidence. I did not send recorded post but I have kept proof of postage.

Should I do anything else at this stage? Thanks.

Ok, so got 2 letters today. One I guesse is a automated reply due to my comment re. The charge amount not reflecting the loss to Aldi as I had made a purchase and there were free spaces. The letter basically argues it is a fair penalty and then gives examples of court cases they have won! I am tempted to cut and paste all the ones they have lost from here and mail it back!... I won't.

Anyway the other letter asks for proof of purchase (despite it being included with my original letter). I had sent a bank statement (printed from online banking). I will send them another copy, but clearly they have not looked at the documents I included with the letter to ask for this. I had blanked out my other transactions and amounts (including Aldi) as do not see it as important. I was a customer.

    Letter number 4 from PE.
Now wants another copy of bank statement showing the transaction amount.
I think it was between £20 and £30. I also made a cash purchase which I cannot provide a receipt for but do have the cash withdrawal from a machine close to Aldi showing the amount.

So I guesse it's another copy of statement showings transactions amounts this time. They have extended the grace period by 14 days for me to do so.

Yep, just reply but do it online using their appeals site, with attachments (saying you are the KEEPER) then it doesn't take long and costs you nowt in postage.

keep going , keep going , I was involved with one where the copies of receipts were sent in (different centre and different shops, but still PE) https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4827711 and as you can see, they cancelled the charge , so it can be done

there is also the option still of getting it cancelled by the shop too , so check the NEWBIES thread by coupon-mad in the sticky threads for details about aldi contacts

Parking ticket has been cancelled by Parking Eye.
My concern was our shop was only approx £20.

Raised the unfair charge based on their loss of profits. Also pointed out there were empty bays so we did not impact on business at Aldi.
Also busy car park with pedestrians. Safety in exiting parking bay.
2 children in car seats to secure.

And provided bank statement showing spend.

Thankyou to all who helped! You are angels. £70 much better spent on the kids this Christmas rather than a parking ticket!
