Hi Guys, Just noticed CPU that IE is using 50>60, with nothing open but MSN homepage in outlook, yet Chrome which I have this open, and AOL e-mail, is using next to nothing?
Any ideas please. No windows updates for IE running , as I,ve just installed one.?
UPDATE, it,s settled at about 16>18 now

If you've problems with IE and high cpu usage, first try starting it in no add-ons mode. and see what cpu usage is like then.

Hi waddler, it,s settled back to 0 or there abouts. Couldn,t see what was hogging CPU, had nothing open, and as far as I know, it,s got no add _ons.
Still confused at why, KB2879017 is showing as an update, when I click on tools ," about IE", then box opens telling me this( I presume) is available?
It,s ticked to instal auto, yet it,s still there, all the time?.
I,ve checked, and it seems it,s a cumulative instal released 8th october?
Does IE say it,s up to date same as Chrome in "about IE "?
I cannot see start in No frills add-ons? in tasks, only private browsing?
    Probably looking in wrong place:-)
