Storage heaters
Hi,
Just moved into a property that has storage heaters, no gas supply in the village, rang e-on to get a fixed price tariff and they said we couldn't because we have "complex meters" whatever that is, so we have been put on a variable rate tariff. Are there any energy companies that do fixed price tariff for "complex meters" before ringing them all. Rang e-on as previous occupant was with them.

Do you have an E10 meter? If so your options are limited.
A straightforward E7 meter should have no tariff restrictions, fixed or variable. No free lunch, and no free laptop

We had the same issue a while ago and rang all the suppliers. Nobody would take our meter, so we asked for it to be replaced by an E7. In the meantime, E-on was billing us incorrectly because their systems don't support the kind of meter we had. Keep an eye on that, it caused months of trouble to us.
