Advent Competitions 2013 - Chat

Nothing is gone wrong. Like last year I subscribed to as many threads as I thought it would give good things but just today I have entered for real only six competitions, the rest I just said thank you and moved on because of no interest for me plus 3 or 4 I just quit completely. Same yesterday. The advents ...I don't know ...maybe I 'm expecting too much. I'm just not so interested any more...it's just me...

Well one week over and into a good routine! By the end of last Sunday I was stressed, bewildered and drained but this Sunday I feel calm, organised and positive! Merry Christmas!

For me is been same same only thanks and move on. I think I have entered only three advent...and dropped another three...or four...

I've found that I can't enter a few competitions- in one case the entry button was missing- but if I do that competition on a different browser there's no problem, my entries go through.

I just wondered as this is the first year i've done advents, how people know if they've won. it seems to me this year that a lot of companies are just posting the winners name in a post and asking them to send details there. Obviously can't remember or want to go back to every page every day to check. Just wondered how people know they've won if its just posted on the post itself with no dm. Is there a way to find out if you've been mentioned much like the @connect button on twitter? Thanks

If it's Twitter you can use your settings to notify your e-mail when your twitter name is mentioned, so you shouldn't miss anything.

Some will e-mail you at the email address you entered with.

Others you have to check.

This morning out of 52 comps I enter only three one of them been a daily not an advent the rest only thanks. Getting really :mad:

Because the prizes don't interest you? It's not worth getting angry about. Although I think if I was looking at 50-odd and only entering 3, I'd give up and leave the advents for this year!

Most days I don't enter all of the ones I look at (around 120 a day), but I enter most of them (around 90?). I think there are some great prizes around on the advents this year. Entered one this morning for a box of Krispy Kreme donuts delivered to your house every month for a year, yum! And there are loads for relatively high value (£100+) high street vouchers, cameras, smart phones, tablets, hotel stays, etc.

Now if only I could actually win one of these things... :rotfl:

Actually, and I will repeat myself the only ones that are interesting for me atm are the ones Toniq was left "bleeding" for. Doughnuts at home...no... but I can understand AND respect that someone goes for it, without any problem as long as I can express myself too and respected.
And yes, I keep clicking on empty hoping to find goodies.
The other thing is... there are not enough things I'm interested in, not into leather, jewellery, televisions, cars and many other very coveted things.
I have not an inkling of desire to point out any negative connotations about these objects, I'm just not interested myself.... and my hand hurts.

If I was you hun, I would take some time out from comping and do something you enjoy doing to cheer yourself up No point in continuing to look at Advents each day if they are making you feel :mad: and frustrated
