Apologies if I don't reply to PMs. If they're advent-related I'm acknowledging them in the advents thread :)

Hmm ... am I breaking a forum rule by doing that? :(
(I'm thinking of the not allowed to mention content of PM on the forum ....)

Its only day two but I have a nice system in place, yesterday I managed all the ones I wanted and all the new comps posted yesterday. I get up early and open my advent folder, do everything I can and leave the others till I return from work. I have picked about 140 to do

Not sure why I havent dont advents before. I really hope the effort of getting up early will pay off lol My hubby has loads of overtiime in the run up to xmas so I have more time to comp

Me too - I set my alarm and get up early to enter the 'early Advents'. I do my facebook like and shares throughout the day and not all at once in case the Big Brother of Facebook shoots me down! I was feeling very tired by the end of day 1 but that was because I was registering with sites and trying to sort out my Advent folders. I'm quite please with myself today as I seem to be on top of my comping :D

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I sat down to eat my dinner next to my laptop and knocked a brew over it!!!!!

Omg, how can I win a new laptop without a laptop?????

Its a first world problem, found out today my mum is fit and well (she'd been having tests to see if she had cancer) and that's what's important. And at least this solves prob of the advents

    #feelingsorryformyselfbutfightingit

Well after my EXTREMELY self pitying post made from my phone last night (sorry guys :o) I've bitten the bullet and ordered a new laptop and so come Thursday advents will be back on for me.

May I just say that trying to comp from a Nokia Lumia is one way to rid yourself of the desire to ever live through advents again! :D

I set my alarm to get up early this morning and make good inroads on the advents. But somehow I managed snooze it in my sleep for 40 minutes, and got up LATE instead!

I don't get home from work until after 8.30pm on Tuesdays, so by the time I've had dinner I'm going to have very little adventing (new verb there) time left :(
  • I've just got back to comping after a break of almost a year, trying to fit it in around "life".
I've really cut back on advents this year, only entering the ones that are either quick and easy or a prize that I really want. I remember the first year of advents for me (2011), I became so tied up with advents that nothing in my house got done! I used to dread the time that hubby would get home, had to think up a new excuse every day as to why the house was a mess and there was no dinner planned :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
