Companies House info - affect personal credit rating?

A friend and I had intended to set up a small company earlier this year however (long story short) after registering with companies house things never got going.

The company will be stricken from the register if we do not file our returns within the next few weeks. My question s can this negatively impact my personal credit file. I intend to apply for a mortgage in the coming months and don't want anything on there which could jeopardise this.

The following email from Companies House has not allayed my concerns:

If the Annual Return is not filed Companies House will take action to strike the company off the register due to non compliance.

No late filing penalties will be incurred from Companies House and you will still be able to register another limited company in the future if you wish.

With regards to credit etc Companies House can't advise, you would need to seek further advice.

Can anyone shed any light on this?
