The biggest brand in new music, NME, along with Universal Music TV will release the third in the NME presents The Essential Bands series of albums. The album is due at the start of the festival season, on June 11, 2007 to be entitled NME Presents The Essential Bands – Festival Edition.

Says NME editor, Conor McNicholas “2007 is going to be a bumper year for festivals. There are more events than ever before, meaning every music fan will have the chance to catch some of their favourite bands in the great outdoors. I’m predicting one of the greatest summers on record, and this CD is the ultimate soundtrack to it."
