Last night Barclays Bank were offline and even phone transactions couldn't be made. I had thousands of pounds I needed to transfer that evening and as a result couldn't do so.
Can I demand compensation from Barclays, for the interest I have now incurred as a result of this money not being deposited in another company's account?

Can I demand compensation from Barclays
You can go what you like as long as it is within the law Barclays can say no if they want to.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Well RBS is compensating those who suffered as a result of the computer glitch last night. :j
About time all banks followed this policy.

In practice you need to prove your LOSSES, not simply that you were inconvenienced. It's all smoke & mirrors!0

Was this due to planned or unplanned maintenance? Barclays often say that their website is going to be off-line during the evening/early hours.Thank you all for helping me make my day by saving money!0 -

Do you reckon its a spam bot (taking random words from the thread and inserting them into sentence generators). All the posts are similar in gibberish and don't read as if its a real person.
What is even more scary is that 7 people have thanked those gobbledygook posts.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
