Back in August i went on comparison site which brought BG up as having the best deal for my prepaid electricity meter

So i fill in the forms and end of Sept get welcome letter saying they they will take over my supply on 2nd Oct and sent key seperately

No key arrived so rang them on 2nd- they claim to have sent key on 26th Sept but will send another

10 days later still no key- phone again. Same story- sent out 2 keys will send a 3rd

This week having STILL no key I phone again. Told 3 keys been sent must be something wrong with my post. However I receive their price hike letter and letters about nectar cards- but no key

So woman gives me code- tells me to go to paypoint outlet after an hour and collect spare key. I follow instructions but none of the paypoint outlets in my town have ever had keys

So next day i ring back again. Kept on hold half and hour apologised to yet again and then told an engineer will be round within 4 hours to bring and set up key.

Waited in- not a soul.; Suppose i will need to phone them again

Beginning to wish I never switched. In meantime having to use old Scottish Power key else no electric for a month

Anyone have any idea how long I am forced to stay with these clowns?

Every PayPoint should have keys - check on here http://www.paypoint.co.uk/paypointlocator

The PayZone network does not have the keys.

If you have a key that works, keep using it.

The only restriction on staying with most suppliers is 28 days and you are past that now. If you signed up to a fixed contract there may be an exit fee - your letters will show your tariff.
  • Was the paypoints i checked- all said no.

Oh well finally got one in post- after a month and 5 days
