This can be one of two things -

1. Your software
2. Nationwides backend systems

If you haven't already done so, enable compatibility mode in IE10 and then try and get to the site. It also might be worth pasting what error code you get providing the information within it isnt sensitive.

Another thing you can do is clear your IE10 cache and try it again.

Sound like they may be having a wobble.

Thanks for your reply sho_me_da_money, I tried deleting my post as the situation seemed to resolve itself after half an hour, but will remember your advice in case it happens again. Maybe they were just overloaded as it's the 1st of the month. Thanks again.
