Just want to clarify a question on the HMRC site when registering my small business.
I have a full time job but have also started working from home as a sole trader.

So.. when I came to the question "Are you working for one person or firm only?" I am offered a yes or no answer.
Maybe I am being stupid .. but just need advice on the answer.
Based on my situation above I think I should be answering "No"..
Is this correct?

The question relates to your self-employment.
If your self-employed work consists entirely of work with one client, there could be issues regarding your employment status -are you actually self-employed?
If you have several clients and are free to have as many as you like the answer should be 'No'.0 -
Ah. Makes more sense now. Thanks0

It is a long time since I did this, but I remember two questions designed to highlight people who are not really self employed.
One is about having just one client as already explained, the other question they asked me was whether I would be working immediately for my employer.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?
