Housing benefit with partner's parents?

Hello all.
I moved in with my partner at his mother's house about six months ago. I have to pay her rent weekly to cover gas, electricity, water and food which I am currently finding it difficult to pay.
I do receive other benefits for severe mental health issues, asthma and autism.
As I pay her rent for bills and food, is there any possibility I'd be eligible for housing benefit to pay her the board I pay her instead of it coming out of my money? It costs me and I'm finding it hard to scrape money together to afford to live while paying her board.

You won't be able to claim housing benefit, you would be expected to use your DLA/ESA to pay for these things in the same way you would if you were in your own place getting your rent paid
Does your partner work?0 -
You won't get any Housing Benefit you live with your prtner in his parents home. The money you receive is for your living expenses. If you want to claim Housing Benefit then you will need to find your own rented property. These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.0

Hi,
if your partner's mother is receiving benefits, then your 'rent' may affect these.0 -

Costs such as gas, electricity, water and food is not rent, those are living expenses and the benefits that you can claim to cover living expenses are the ones such as job seekers allowance, employment support allowance if you fit the criteria for those. Then you pay for your living expenses out of that."Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Dalai Lama0 -
I remember you thread about how much you have been awarded for ESA support group so you are getting £121.65 per week? Do you also receive DLA/PIP?
Is your partner working and what are they paying as regards rent etc?
To be honest you will need to tell us some figures as regards how much you pay each to your partner's mum.
How is yours and your partner's contribution to his mum sorted out?
How much money do you have left a week after this?0 -

I wasn't "officially" living at my partner's mother's house until recently - I'd spend a couple of nights at my mother's and step-dad's house and all my belongings, mail etc went there but I'd spend most of the week at his.
Now the council is aware I'm living at my partner's mother's house full time, I'm going through the process of moving all my post and bills and everything. I may now need to pay rent to the council for staying at their house as my partner needs to (it's a council house unlike my parent's) which is why I'm enquiring about housing benefit in the first place.
I find the whole moving house thing confusing which is why I've classed myself as living with parents as officially I was up until recently.
Hope that explains it0 -
Also need to clarify that, while I was going to my mother's house frequently, I was in a more stable plAce.
However my psychiatrist made the suggestion a few months ago to make it permanent as I need around the clock care - something I do not get at my mother's house.
Up until about a month or two ago I still had my bedroom at my mother's house but she changed that by throwing all my things out as my brother moved back in after being chucked out a few years ago for physical abuse against myself and my step-dad.0
