Eligibility Calculator - Barclaycard

Options
Hello,

I have been using the MSE Eligibility Checker to check how likely i am to get a card, i have 5 cards already that are charging interest so would like to swap over to a 0% deal.

I've been showing 40% chance of getting a halifax card or the rate for life card from MBNA. But recently, Barclaycard have been added to it and i am now showing an 80% chance on all of their cards.

How accurate is this likely to be given it is much higher than my other best probability?

I am recovering my credit worthiness following a spiralling mess of payday loans, ive paid them all off with no defaults and not used them for three months and counting.

I also currently have a Barclaycard, will this stop me getting another one? I know i couldnt transfer over my current Barclaycard to a new one but i could transfer my other cards.

Any views would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I wasn't aware that Barclaycard had been added to MSE's eligibility checker but they also have their own 'soft search' on their website. It's likely to be more accurate:

Think you'll find the only decent eligibility checker is actually Nationwide who quite rightly check the credit file where they'll be doing the check.

MSE eligibility checker should be sacked TBH as it checks Call credit which we know the likes of any mainstream lender will search Equifax & Experian which basically puts MSE eligibility checker useless.

Barclaycard pre checker is also utterly useless too.
