can some one please help me i am trying to reinstall an old tom tom
i am a scatty woman hence my user name the problem is that when i first purchased said tomtom i was up north and my lovely uncle in blackpool set it up on his pc that was in 2002
now my well behaved 15yo son has been playing with it and now the software needs reinstalling but in the last 5 years i have lost the code for it
and the activation codes for the map is now out of date.
the above mentioned company dont appear to have a phone number for me to ring and their support web site is not helpfull
why why why should i buy a new one when this one is fine

You don't mention which version of tomtom you have but you could try and ask the same questions in the tomtom board here;-

Hi. Try this. it worked for my tomtom GO. Go to "TOMTOM.com", (Type it into google and choose the second from the top) then click on "PLUS services" the 3rd from the top selection bar and then select TOMTOM Home. And install it on your PC. You can then get all the latest updates for your TOMTOM when you are online and have your TOMTOM unit linked to your PC through USB cable. I did it with mine and it re- installed the lot. It looks allot more up to spec now and has stopped sending me into one way streets and roads that no longer excist. I hope it helps.:beer:
