CPP Cancelled the wrong card

in Credit cards
I lost my main A&L credit card recently so called CPP and they ended cancelling my A&L debit card. It looks like they ended up faxing the wrong people, i.e. debit card dept instead of MBNA who deal with the A&L Credit Card.
I've been stranded and had trouble shopping yesterday in tesco, obviously can't withdraw cash either as the debit card is cancelled.
Also I noticed that some people have paid £44 for 3 years cover whereas they charged me £75 and that was a renewal.
I am so annoyed and want to ask for my £75 back as they've just screwed me over completely. What should I do, they're sending me the fax in the post as 'proof' but A&L are blaming CPP and CPP insist they are not at fault.

Blackadder: Baldrick, I have a very, very, very cunning plan.
Baldrick: Is it as cunning as a fox what used to be Professor of Cunning at Oxford University but has moved on and is now working for the U.N. at the High Commission of International Cunning Planning?
Blackadder: Yes it is.
Baldrick: Hmm... that's cunning.

Wait to see the fax states the correct card and company. If they got it wrong then CPP are at fault. If they (CPP) record conversations ask them for a copy to prove you told them the right info and they got it wrong.0

We received a copy of the fax, it asks for cancellation of the 'visa card' but it was faxed to the alliance-leicester department, they deal with debit cards only. It's MBNA it should have gone to, so it is CPP at fault here though they obviously think otherwise. :rolleyes:Blackadder: Baldrick, I have a very, very, very cunning plan.

You have the proof they sent it to the wrong place. Tell them you asked them you wanted the credit card cancelled and they sent the info to the wrong place. I doubt they will compensate you though. Tell them you want to cancel the CPP contract as well and want a refund of your £75.0
