You could also take it to Game I think they will do an exchange as long as it is sealed and they can put your money on a Game Gift Card

They don't put it on a gift card, they give you cash. And you have to take two forms of ID in to do that.

Best bet imo is Ebay or a gaming store - most of the supermarkets are really strict with games/cd returns now due to the copyright laws. As it is sealed they may make an exception but guess it depends on each individual stores policy

Try listing it on Amazon marketplace (where it says "sell yours here")- it's loads easier than ebay - you just put in the bar code number and Amazon recognises the item. They pay any money directly into your bank account. You dont pay any fees unless the item sells and the listing lasts for a couple of months.

Last week I won spiderman 3 for the xbox 360. I was going to give it to a 13 year old boy until I discovered he had an ordinary xbox, not the 360. It is worth £39.99 and I am wondering if I can ask somewhere like Tesco to change it for another game?

I WON an xbox 360 game last year from sci-fi on line (i think-there was no letter as usual:mad:)

anyway to get to the point, i took it to woolworths, and said father in law brought it in watford not knowing we no longer had an xbox, and could i possibly exchange it, and they gave me gift tokens for £40

I felt cheeky, but they can resell the game at the same cost of the goods you buy, so they don't lose out, and it was really handy, as was daughters b.day very close to then.

I have done similar thngs in tesco, but their things are usually cheaper....so you don't get so much in return:o

Thank you everyone for the helpful input.

I went to Tesco and was upfront about it being a win. They were fine about changing it. The games dd wanted were not in stock, so they let us change it for 6 dvds instead (I got £39.97 credit towards them).
I got "The Queen" which I had tried hard to win, but didn't.
DD got "Night at the museum" which she has alos wanted for a while. then we choose 4 'family' ones.
