Kitchen installation - "Decor Ends"

We received a quote from Howdens for our kitchen. In the quote designer has included a number of items titled Decor Ends (base and wall decor ends)

I want to ask

1) if i need a decor end with all cabinets?
2) Are all floor and wall units installed against a wall on sides fixed directly to wall or is there a "plinth" or something similar to fix it?

you dont need then with all cabinets , just the ones where a side of the cabinet is on show.
cabinets fitted upto a wall normally have some kind of filler panel

The carcasses are probably white, so you need the decor ends where the sides of the carcasses are on show, to match the doors (if they're not white)

i keep forgetting how basic Howdens is, you can stick with a white or oak kitchen and use the carcass ends as the panel. The cream shaker doors go well with the light oak carcass on show
