Newmarket, Suffolk - v cheap place for 1 night?

:hello:Hi, our father is terminally ill, we're coming from the other side of the country and have very tight financial abilities at the moment. Does anyone know of somewhere exceptionally cheap where two adults + 1 child could share a room? We don't need food, we'll sort that out (picnics) but sleeping in the car is very uncomfy. We could bring our own bedding etc. We would camp but feel it's too cold for the child.

Caravan? warm tent? tipi with fire? ??

Any suggestions considered!

Thank you very much!

We solved the problem, this time, we just came back the same day, long drive and tiring but we took it easy, stopping when tired and swapping over drivers.

I can't think of anywhere off the top of my head (worked away for years), but https://www.smoothound.co.uk is normally a good starting point for finding a decent cheap B+B.

Try to plan your visits for when there's no horse racing on, because accomodation in the area does fill up fast.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?
