Hi, can anyone recommend this for making bread. I've read some don't knead the bread properly.Treat others how you would like to be treated.0

I wondered about bread making too. I bought a lovely mixer from Argos but it ker-put once I started mixing my bread dough with it after only a couple of weeks usage.

Bought the Lidl one last night, very impressed. Okay, the main body is plastic but the mixing bowl is huge, excellent quality attachments (all dishwasher proof) and lid so no splashing or icing sugar all cover the kitchen :j Mos impressed with the blender - it is thick heavy glass and feels really good quality. Setting to make Christmas Cake with it tomorrow so will update then.
I still yearn for a Kitchenaid, but this will do just fine whilst I wait to become rich enough to buy one...... :rotfl:0 -
Unfortunately my local Lidl had sold out. I am now on the lookout for another. The main purpose for me is kneading dough and the cakes. So need it to be able to knead properly. Oh well, I'll have to keep saving for the Kmix or kitchen and mixer.Treat others how you would like to be treated.0

Horses for courses I guess :-) Personally I wouldn't pay £80 for one with a 3L bowl when the Lidl one has a 6L bowl and I always make double mix cakes..... Not worried about the plastic - feels v solid and comes with 3 year warranty.0 -
