    Hi

I opted for Hasslefree boilers after trying to get a boiler installed at an affordable rate using Helplink and British Gas Green deal. In both of the latter cases for working people without much money their deals are useless but do suit those on benefits. In the case of Hasslefree I knew straight away that financially you're paying for the boiler many times over - even with free servicing etc. However, if you haven't got the lump sum upfront to buy a new boiler then it's a very handy deal
They gave me a lesson how to use the boiler and controller and how to save money on energy costs.

So you are happy to pay more than 5 thousand pounds over 11/12 years for a boiler you could have had for 2thousand pounds fitted.
Question do you get a new boiler if this one goes bang?
And you will have to save a shed load if energy to pay for that.
    63 mortgage payments to go.

    Zero wins 2016 😥

Ideal offer 7 yrs on the logic, I'm not a fan.

Worcester, Vaillant or glow worm are the least worst options

Remeha extend their 5 year warranty to 7 for an extra £70.

We've recently had a quote from Hassel-Free and yes, it works out at c£5,200 over 12 years, but.....

We are currently paying c£16 a month for a BG service contract. That can go, so..... £5200 effectively becomes c£2,800.

Moving from an old (>12 years) Ravenheat Combi (HE120?) will allegedly save us £30-£40 a month on our gas bill. So.... £2,800 outlay becomes £1,500 or more overall saved.

Now it may well be that having a boiler fitted can be done for less than £2,800 (although I doubt that by much - maybe saving a grand?) BUT... will anybody else to it for zero initial outlay? And that's their USP - it will appear to cost us nothing. If anyone else can match that I'm all ears! (In fact, I'd very much like to hear from a competitor - to get a variety of comparable quotes.)

Hi; I'm in the same boat as you. I think, if it was my intention to have top level service agreement with e.g. British Gas it would cost me about the same - although if they were to fit the boiler it would be far more expensive.. Just wishI could speak to someone who has dealt with HFB recently to get some first hand knowledge.

There are two things I was hoping for here:-
    1. Some useful insights from people who had actually used HFB.
    2. Some guidance on other places which are competing with HFB.

One thing that is if no use whatsoever is to suggest that we simply buy a boiler from a boiler shop and have it fitted by a boiler fitter. I have absolutely no doubt that, by shelling out two or three grand I could get some staggering deals. But we don't have that sort of cash available. Which is precisely why HFB is so appealing.

Do you know what the APR is, because its essentially just a loan and i think thats what you should be comparing. I've had a quick look on the website but can't see what it is. The Green Deal could be an option if you havnt got a very good credit rating and you'll get a few hundred quid cashback

What boiler support do you get if they go bust?
Is the guarantee transferable if you move?
